Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj served in the Indian Foreign Service for nearly four decades, with senior assignments at the United Nations and UNESCO, and as Ambassador to Bhutan and High Commissioner to South Africa and Lesotho. She also served as Chief of Protocol to the Government of India, overseeing state visits and international summits. From 2022 to 2024, she was Permanent Representative to the United Nations, where she presided over the Security Council during India’s tenure. She continues to engage with issues of diplomacy and multilateralism.
