In The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran offers a gentle, deeply human meditation on the experiences that shape our lives. As Almustafa, a prophet preparing to leave the city of Orphalese, speaks with the people who have gathered around him, he reflects on love, marriage, children, work, freedom, giving, friendship, joy, sorrow, success, failure, and death.

Written in simple yet profound language, Gibran’s reflections offer clarity without easy answers and comfort without preaching. More than a century after it was first published, The Prophet remains a timeless companion for navigating the confusions and contradictions of being human—and a book readers return to whenever they need perspective, reassurance, or a gentler way of seeing the world.
