Rajendra Singh Bedi was a successful Hindi and Urdu novelist, director, script writer and playwright. He was born on 1 September 1915 in Siyalkot, Punjab in British India. Formerly, he was the Urdu writer in the All-India Progressive Writers’ Association, who later became a Hindi film director, script-writer and screenwriter.
