Deepta Roy Chakraverti

Deepta Roy Chakraverti is qualified as a lawyer from King’s College London and also holds a first-class degree in Mathematics from Delhi University. Deepta worked in the corporate legal sector for ten years before returning to her first love, the study of ancient magical traditions. Her interest in this unorthodox area comes from being the daughter of India’s most celebrated Wiccan, Ipsita Roy Chakraverti. Deepta now conducts classes on magic and religion in the ancient world for the Wiccan Brigade’s Golden Ankh Study Circle.

Deepta is the last of Jamini Sen’s descendants through the line of Jamini’s niece, Roma Sen Chakraverti. This particular bloodline, as well as this thread of memory ends with her.
