Madan Yadav is a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and currently serves as the Head of the Department at the School of Social Sciences, IGNOU Headquarters, New Delhi. He is also a member of the Academic Council of the University and serves as the Coordinator of the Gyan Darshan Channel at the School of Social Sciences, IGNOU. In addition, he is an Executive Council Member and Treasurer of the Alumni Association of Jawaharlal Nehru University (AAJ).
Over the course of his academic career, he has taught Political Science and International Relations at the University of Delhi and Sikkim Central University, Gangtok. He completed his Master’s in Politics with specialisation in International Relations, followed by an M.Phil. and PhD in International Relations and Politics from the School of International Studies (SIS), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
His research interests include democracy in India and the Indian subcontinent, Indian foreign and defence policy, the geopolitics of Eurasia, and contemporary global affairs. He regularly delivers lectures and discussions on national and international issues through Gyan Darshan and radio programmes. Dr Yadav has authored and edited more than eighteen research articles, journal papers, and book chapters published in national and international volumes. He is currently working on a forthcoming book on Indian Foreign Policy.
