Nujoom Al-Ghanem

Nujoom Al-Ghanem, a renowned Emirati poet, filmmaker, and cultural consultant, is celebrated for her profound literary voice in contemporary Arabic arts. She has published eight acclaimed poetry collections since 1989, such as A Heavy Night on the Night (2010) and I?Fall?into?Myself, exploring themes of longing, solitude, and the female experience. A founding member of the Emirates Writers’ Union, she holds a BA in Video Production from Ohio University and an MA in Media Production from Griffith University. Widely respected for her cultural contributions, Al-Ghanem’s writing is known for its emotional depth and lyrical mastery, establishing her as a leading figure in the Arab literary world.
