David Eagleman is an assistant professor of neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, where he directs the Laboratory for Perception and Action as well as the Initiative on Neuroscience and Law. His scientific research is published in journals from Science to Nature, and his neuroscience books include Re-wire: The Shape-Shifting Brain and Wednesday is Indigo Blue: Discovering the Brain of Synesthesia. He is also the author of the international fiction bestseller, Sum, and Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain.

K.J. Micciche is a novelist who hails from Queens, New York, where she spent countless hours curled up under the covers, reading The Babysitters Club as a kid by flashlight way past her bedtime. K.J. runs a non-profit organization that teaches kids with dyslexia how to read. Proud mom of two little girls, she and her family live on Long Island and summer in Cape Cod.

निर्मल वर्मा का जन्म 3 अप्रैल 1929 को शिमला में हुआ था। हिन्दी साहित्य में नई कहानी आंदोलन के प्रमुख ध्वजवाहक निर्मल वर्मा का कहानी में आधुनिकता का बोध लाने वाले कहानीकारों में अग्रणी स्थान है। रात का रिपोर्टर, एक चिथड़ा सुख, लाल टीन की छत और वे दिन निर्मल वर्मा के चर्चित उपन्यास हैं। उनका अंतिम उपन्यास अंतिम अरण्य 1990 में प्रकाशित हुआ था। उनकी सौ से अधिक कहानियाँ कई कहानी संग्रहों में प्रकाशित हुई।निर्मल वर्मा का निधन 25 अक्टूबर 2005 को नई दिल्ली में हुआ।
