Nobuo Suzuki

Nobuo Suzuki was born in 1968 and has dedicated his life to studying new aspects and approaches to philosophy and psychology. After traveling all around Asia, he developed a method of connecting Zen beliefs with art therapies, and now works with clients seeking alternative ways of approaching their life issues. He loves playing piano and writing about his trips and recording his reflections. He is the author of Wabi Sabi: The Wisdom in Imperfection.

Mukund Padmanabhan

Mukund Padmanabhan is the former Editor of The Hindu, one of India’s largest and most respected newspapers. He was appointed to the post in 2016, after having been Editor of the business daily, Hindu BusinessLine, a sister publication from the same group. He is currently a Visiting Professor of Practice at the newly established Krea University, north of Chennai, where he teaches philosophy and related disciplines. As a journalist, Mukund has written extensively on literary, legal and political subjects. This is his first book.

Vaibhav Sharma

Vaibhav Sharma is a translator and poet from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was mentored by International Booker Prize-winning translator Daisy Rockwell under the 2023 NCW Emerging Translators Mentorship programme. His work has been published in Out of Print, Words Without Borders, Hans, Modern Poetry in Translation, the Bombay Literary Magazine and Himal magazine. He was shortlisted for the Armory Square Prize for South Asian Literature in Translation in 2023 and the Mozhi Prize in 2024. His debut translation, Under the Night Jasmine, came out in February 2024. Courtesans Don’t Read Newspapers is his second translation.

Suraj Milind Yengde

Suraj Milind Yengde is Assistant Professor of History and Africana Studies and a Ford Foundation Presidential Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. His second doctorate at the University of Oxford explored the intellectual histories of caste and race from the Middle Ages to the present, examining theories of W.E.B. Du Bois, B.R. Ambedkar, Frantz Fanon and Steve Biko. He is the bestselling author of Caste Matters.
