Vanya Vaidehi Bhargav is an intellectual historian of modern South Asia. She completed her DPhil in history at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford. Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed academic journals, such as the Journal of Asian Studies, Global Intellectual History, Studies in Indian Politics and Religions. She has been a research fellow at the M.S. Merian – R. Tagore International Centre of Advanced Studies ‘Metamorphosis of the Political: Comparative Perspectives on the Long Twentieth Century’ (ICAS: M.P.), New Delhi, India, and a senior research fellow with Kolleg-Forschungsgruppe ‘Multiple Secularities – Beyond the West, Beyond Modernities’, Humanities Centre for Advanced Studies, University of Leipzig, Germany. Committed to engaging with the public, Bhargav has written for the Indian Express, The Hindu and The Wire. She tweets at @vanyavaidehi.

Dr Mrinal Kalita received the Sahitya Akademi’s Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2021 for his seminal debut Bakul Phular Dare, which became an overnight bestseller. The book has gone on to redefine the coming-of-age novel in Assamese and is now in its forty-second edition. The novel was read in thirty-two episodes on the novel reading programme of All India Radio, Guwahati, in 2020 and has been made into a feature film.

A professor of Mathematics by profession, Kalita’s short stories have been translated into English, Hindi, Odia, and Bengali. Jooj, one of Kalita’s stories for young adults, has also been included in the syllabus of CBSE and SEBA. Recently, Ajantrik (Not A Machine), was published in Translations: South & South East Asia, Issue 3 of adda – the prestigious online magazine run by Commonwealth Writers, the Cultural Programme of the Commonwealth Foundation.

Kalita’s short-story collections include Anuxilon (Practice), Ajantrik Anuxilon (Non-mechanical Practice) and Mrityur Xipare (Beyond Death). His nonfiction oeuvre features Godfatheror Haat Aru Satanor Mogoju (Godfather’s Hands and Satan’s Brain), Gonitor Bornil Jogot (The Colourful World of Mathematics) and Okopote: Mor Aru Prithivir (Candidly Me: The World and I).

Partha Pratim Goswami has translated several notable Assamese works, such as Mamoni Raisom Goswami’s Sanskara and Mrinal Kalita’s Ketela Pohur Kait. Goswami is intrigued by the exacting process of reimagining a writer’s world while trying to convey the cadences and nuances of the regional language into the English. Goswami’s areas of interest include comparative literature, Indian writings in English, and translation studies. He is chief translator of the translation wing at Gauhati High Court, Assam. Goswami’s wish is to make influential literary works in Assamese available to global readers.

Vivek Mashrani is a founder and director at Technofunda Ventures, based out of Ahmedabad, India. He is also building an investing community under his TechnoFunda initiative to help people become better investors. Previously, he served at the Bangalore and London offices of HSBC as AVP in their investment banking as well as strategy teams. Vivek is a CFA charter holder and member of the CFA Society India, and an MBA in capital markets from NMIMS, Mumbai. He is a strong believer in lifelong learning, networking and collaboration.

Anand Venkitachalam is a founder and managing partner at KARM Capital, based out of Bangalore. He has over twenty-five years of experience working in leadership roles at high-tech engineering MNCs. He holds eleven patents.

Ram Charan is a renowned CEO advisor, director of seven boards, and author or coauthor of 32 books (with four million copies sold), including Execution—a New York Times bestseller for 150 weeks—and six authoritative books on corporate boards on governance. Charan earned MBA (Baker’s Scholar, with high distinction) and doctorate degrees in corporate governance from Harvard Business School. A highly renowned and award-winning teacher at GE’s Crotonville Leadership Institute and at Northwestern University, his work spans China, Brazil, Japan, Australia, India, and the US. He has worked with boards and CEOs of companies including Humana, Bank of America, and two of the four largest digital companies in China.

Anish Batlaw is a Managing Director at General Atlantic, the global growth equity firm. He joined the firm in 2015 to lead their Human Capital efforts in support of their global portfolio companies such as such as Squarespace, Red Ventures, Bytedance, Articulate, Gingko Bioworks, Gymshark, EngageSmart, dlocal, and Alignment Healthcare. His responsibilities include development of management teams, board of directors, and executive compensation. Over his 30 year career, he has also held roles at PepsiCo, Microsoft, Novartis A.G. and TPG Capital. He has served on the boards of Avon, Alinta Holdings, HCP Global Holdings, and TPG Wholesale Private Limited. In 2021, Anish was named one of the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business, an award given by the Asian American Business Development Center, the most prestigious forum highlighting the achievements of Asian American business professionals.

किशोर साहू एक प्रसिद्ध लेखक के साथ-साथ अभिनेता, फिल्म निर्देशक और निर्माता थे। वह 1937 और 1980 के बीच बाईस फिल्मों में दिखाई दिए। उन्होंने 1942 और 1974 के बीच बीस फिल्मों का निर्देशन किया। उन्होंने दिलीप कुमार को नदिया के पार में कामिनी कौशल के साथ निर्देशित किया, जो 1948 की छठी सबसे ज्यादा कमाई करने वाली भारतीय फिल्म बन गई। उनकी 1954 की फिल्म मयूरपंख ने 1954 के कान फिल्म फेस्टिवल में प्रवेश किया, जहॉं इसे महोत्सव के ग्रैंड पुरस्कार के लिए नामित किया गया था। वह मीना कुमारी अभिनीत, दिल अपना और प्रीत पराई (1960) के लिए भी जाने जाते हैं।
