Anas Ahmed

Anas Ahmed is the Lead Research Officer for the Digital Identity Research Initiative at the Indian School of Business, who has traversed classrooms, boardrooms, and rural communities across India working closely with CEOs and entrepreneurs of the leading financial institutions and start-ups, regulators, bureaucrats and politicians to advise them on accelerating financial inclusion in India.
He pursued economics from Cardiff University, UK and has a profound interest in leveraging technology for economic development. He co-authored a chapter in The Palgrave Handbook of Technological Finance and has contributed numerous articles for newspapers like The Economic Times and The Times of India.

V.K. Singh

Major General V.K. Singh graduated from the National Defence Academy, Kharakvasla in May 1964. He passed out from the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, in June 1965 and was commissioned into the Corps of Signals. In his career spanning thirty-seven years in the Indian Army, he held several important posts, including that of chief signal officer of the Western Command. He also raised the signal regiment of the Indian Army’s first mechanized division in 1982.
General Singh is an alumnus of the Staff College, Wellington; the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad; and the National Defence College, New Delhi. He served as an instructor at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, the Army War College and the Staff College. He retired from active service in June 2002.
Among his varied interests are adventure sports, military history and journalism. A keen rallyist, General Singh has participated in three Himalayan Car Rallies (1982–84). A regular contributor to magazines, newspapers and journals, many of his short stories and poems were published in the Illustrated Weekly, Filmfare, Femina and Eve’s Weekly in the seventies and eighties. In later years he took to professional writing and has authored nine books.

Shweta Singh Kirti

Shweta Singh Kirti, a fashion designer trained at India’s National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), transformed her career trajectory after obtaining an MBA in the USA. Antonella Simonelli Mathur

ANTONELLA SIMONELLI MATHUR is an Italian writer, translator, and editor. In India, she found the right environment to explore her quest for spirituality and became a Buddhist in the Tibetan tradition, moving to Dharamshala. She is a member of the Dharamsala Writers Group, has written for Tibet House, and is an editor for the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). She has been living in India since 1977 after graduating in Hindi Language and Literature from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Venice.

Vivek Shanbhag

VIVEK SHANBHAG is a Kannada author, editor and playwright. He founded the pioneering literary journal Desha Kaala, editing it for seven years. His works include the widely translated Ghachar Ghochar. Although his stories are regularly translated and anthologised, Sakina’s Kiss is only his second complete work to be translated into the English. He is a Visiting Professor of Creative Writing at the Ashoka University. He is an engineer by training and lives in Bangalore.
