Mallika Ravikumar

Winner of the Atta Galatta Bangalore Literature Festival Award for Best Children’s Fiction 2023, and the Binod Kanoria Children’s Book Award, 2023, Mallika is a lawyer-turned-writer, published by Penguin, Hachette, Speaking Tiger, Karadi Tales, and Katha, amongst others. An MA in ancient Indian history and culture from St Xavier’s College in Mumbai, she was also the curator and chief content writer for the Government of India’s National Virtual Library of India portal on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Roychoudhury Upendrakishore

Upendrakishore Roychoudhury (1863-1915) was a writer, illustrator, musician and amateur astronomer, best known for his charming children’s books and for establishing the popular Bengali children’s magazine, Sandesh.

Varsha Seshan is a writer of lists, emails and notes to herself. She also writes children’s stories. Based in Pune, she loves windy, rainy days, full of magic and possibility. Her books have been shortlisted for the AG Bangalore Literature Festival Prize for Children’s Fiction, the Neev Book Award, the Singapore Book Award and the Scholastic Asian Book Award. She conducts online book clubs and writing programmes for ages seven to fourteen. Bharat Bambawale

Bharat Bambawale has spent thirty-six years in marketing and advertising, eighteen of which were as a global executive with marketing communications companies Lowe & Partners (formerly Lintas) and J. Walter Thompson (now Wunderman Thompson). He has worked as managing director at Lowe & Partners Middle East North Africa, in Dubai; as Lowe & Partners’ Asia Pacific client leader on Unilever, in Bangkok; and as J. Walter Thompson’s global director on Unilever, in London. On his return to India in 2011, he became Airtel’s first and only global brand director. Since 2013, he has been running his eponymous brand and marketing consultancy, Bharat Bambawale & Associates.

Deepak Ramola

Deepak Ramola is the founder and artistic director of Project FUEL. A two-time TED Talks speaker and UN Action Plan Executor, he serves as the Kindness Ambassador for UNESCO MGIEP. Deepak is an influencer extraordinaire. His methodology has been recognized
amongst the world’s top 100 innovations in education by Finlandbased organization HundreED, and has also been adopted by the Education Board of Antwerp in Belgium. A celebrated lyricist in Hindi cinema, his songs have been voiced by Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar and Rekha Bhardwaj, amongst others. His first collection of Hindi poetry, titled Itna Toh Main Samajh Gaya Hoon, received the prestigious Dwarka Prasad Aggarwal Young Writer Award in 2020.

Sudhir and Aditi Singhal

Aditi Singhal and Sudhir Singhal, founders of Dynamic Minds Group, are international memory trainers, mathematics educators, authors and motivational speakers. They have to their credit the Guinness World Record for teaching the largest maths class.

Aditi has also been given the Best Memory Trainer award by the India Book of Records and has been featured in The Limca Book of Records thrice for memory and fast calculation.

Shakti Sinha

SHAKTI SINHA first got to know Vajpayee in 1980, and worked with him very closely for three and a half years in
the 1990s, as secretary to the leader of the Opposition (1996-97) and as his private secretary (1998-99). He was also the director of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library. He is a distinguished fellow at the India Foundation and is currently serving as the honorary director of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Policy Research and International Studies, MS University, Vadodara.

Ratna Kalpish

Ishrat Syed and Kalpana Swaminathan write together as Kalpish Ratna-a near anagram of their names. The pseudonym translates, in a piquant meld of Persian and Sanskrit, as ‘the pleasures of imagination’.

Rao Adithi

After a BA in Theater from Smith College, USA, Adithi Rao returned to India to work as an assistant director on the award-winning Hindi cult film Satya. She has written several books for children including Shakuntala and Other Timeless Tales of Ancient India and Growing Up in Pandupur, co-authored with her sister, Chatura Rao. Her stories have been published across anthology collections by various publishing houses, and in English school text books across India.

Lila Majumdar

Lila Majumdar was a teacher and pioneering children’s writer. She wrote over 125 books including a collection of short stories, five jointly authored titles, 9 translated books and 19 edited books.
