Unmukt Chand

Unmukt Chand was born on 26 March 1993 in Delhi. He traces his
roots to Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. The promising cricketer, who led
the India Under-19 team to World Cup victory in Australia in August
2012, has also captained the India A one-day team. Apart from
representing India A, Unmukt is also part of India Under-23, North
Zone, Delhi, and Delhi Daredevils teams. At age seventeen, he was
the youngest to play the Indian Premier League. The prolific batsman
also led the India U-19 side to victory in the Asia Cup (2012), and
two U-19 quadrangular series (2011 and 2012).
Among the prominent awards that have come his way in his
cricketing career are the Castrol Best Junior Cricketer of the Year
2011-2012, and the CEAT Indian Youngster of the Year 2012.
Unmukt is an avid reader and maintains a regular diary and, much
like he collects his runs, is forever adding to his English vocabulary.
He is presently doing his undergraduation at St. Stephen’s College,
Delhi.

Lal Ranjit

Ranjit Lal has written fiction and non-fiction for both adults and children. His books for Puffin include The Caterpillar Who went on a Diet and Other Stories, When Banshee Kissed Bimbo and Other Bird Stories, The Battle for No. 19 and Faces in the Water, which won the Crossword Best Children’s Book Award in 2010 and the Laadli National Media Award.

Shazaf Fatima Haider is the author of the critically acclaimed and award-winning novels How it Happened and A Firefly in the Dark. She lives with her husband and four children in St Albans. She is currently working on her fourth novel.
