Chitra Deb was born in Purnea on 24 November 1943. She took her MA and PhD in Bengali Literature from Calcutta University. She has edited and translated a number of volumes, and also has a few children s books to her credit. She has researched and written extensively on the contribution of women in the social and cultural history of Bengal.

Keki Daruwalla
Keki N. Daruwalla was with the Indian Police Service and retired as ChairmanJIC in 1995. His first book of poems, Under Orion, was published in 1970 to be followed by eight more volumes of poetry. He has also published three volumes of short fiction, a novella and two collections of poetry for children.
Daruwalla received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1984 and the Commonwealth Poetry Prize for Asia in 1987. His latest volume of poetry, Collected Poems, was published by Penguin Books India in 2006. He lives in Delhi.

Author bio: Sudha Murty was born in 1950 in Shiggaon, north Karnataka. She did her MTech in computer science. A philanthropist, a teacher and an author, she is the chairperson of Murty Foundation. She is also a member of the Rajya Sabha. A prolific writer in English and Kannada, she has penned novels, technical books, travelogues, collections of short stories and non-fiction pieces, and bestselling books for children. Her books have been translated into all the major Indian languages. Sudha Murty is the recipient of the R.K. Narayan Award for Literature (2006), the Padma Shri (2006), the Attimabbe Award from the Government of Karnataka for excellence in Kannada literature (2011) and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 Crossword Book Awards. She weaves magical tales and especially enjoys writing for young readers. Amit was honoured with the Best Photographer of the Year Award, Asia 2009, by theSagamihara City Museum, Japan, for his photography book India: A Timeless Celebration. His photographs are in the permanent collections of Gabarron Foundation Museum, Spain, and Sagamihara City Museum, Japan. Amit Mehra lives in New Delhi with his wife, Manjari Chaturvedi and daughter, Naazo.
Seth Leila
Leila Seth was the first woman judge of the Delhi High Court and the first women to be Chief Justice of a state in India. She retired as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh in 1992. She was a member of the 15th Law Commisiion of India and responsible for the report on Free and Compulsory Education of Children. She is involved in human rights activities and with a number of schools and colleges. She has a diplomatic in Montessori education. In 2003, her autobiography On Balance was published by Penguin to much critical acclaim. She passed away in 2017.
