Radhika Chopra, formerly Professor of Sociology, is author of Amritsar 1984: A City Remembers and of Militant and Migrant: The Politics and Social History of Punjab. Deeply interested in visual cultures, she has edited Ways of Worship (2020), based on fieldwork photographs taken by anthropologists. She has published extensively on visual cultures, on migration and on gender and South Asian masculinities.

Makarand R. Paranjape is a critic, poet, novelist and public intellectual. He was educated at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a master’s and PhD in English. Currently Professor, Centre for English Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, he was the inaugural Erich Auerbach Visiting Chair in Global Literary Studies at the University of Tübingen in Fall 2014. His recent books include Making India: Colonialism, National Culture, and Indian English Literature and Swami Vivekananda: A Contemporary Reader.

N. Balasubramanian
With more than half a century of work experience, Prof. N. Balasubramanian embodies a unique blend of exposure to the industry and academia. For three and a half decades, he served companies like Imperial Chemical Industries, Britannia and Wipro at senior levels. He then switched to academia and currently teaches at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He was a professor at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
A non-practising chartered accountant with a PhD in business finance, and a deep interest in Indian scriptures and heritage, Prof. Balasubramanian has been on the statutory and advisory boards of listed companies as well as early-to-mid-term start-ups. He also serves on the editorial and advisory boards of some Indian and international scholarly journals. Prof. Balasubramanian lives with his family in Thane, near Mumbai. This is his eighth book.

Dev Prasad is an IT professional residing in Bangalore. He secured his degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Regional Engineering College (now NIT), Trichy, and done his MDP Program from IIM Bangalore. He has held senior management positions at various European and American Multinational Companies.
Though an engineer by qualification, he has a wide range of interests. These include reading, writing, travelling, photography, study of mythology and listening to music. He likes creative writing and has worked as a part time freelance copywriter for three years for many advertising agencies. He has written many poems, one of which was selected by International Poets Association, USA. He is passionate about serving the society and has been associated with a few NGOs working for underprivileged children. He loves sports like cricket, badminton, table tennis and chess. His debut book KRISHNA: A Journey Through the Lands & Legends of Krishna was longlisted for 2010 Vodafone Crossword Award.

Mukherjee Rudrangshu
Rudrangshu Mukherjee is vice chancellor and professor of history at Ashoka University. Earlier, he taught at Calcutta University; he has held visiting appointments at Princeton University, Manchester University and the University of California, Santa Cruz. He was the editor of the editorial pages of The Telegraph, Calcutta, and continues in that role as a consultant. He is the author and editor of several books which include Awadh in Revolt, 1857-58: A Study of Popular Resistance, and Spectre of Violence: The 1857 Kanpur Massacres, as well as The Penguin Gandhi Reader.

Acclaimed for his path-breaking investigative journalism, he was the first Reuters Fellow from India at Oxford. Since 1993, he has been the editor of the Navhind Times, Goa. His scholarly articles have been published in anthologies in India and abroad. His other books include Against the Few: Struggles of India’s Rural Poor and Goa Indica: A Critical Portrait of Postcolonial Goa.
