Y S Rajan

Y. S. Rajan is a physicist by training. He has made key contributions to space research, technology and applications since 1964 and continues to be an expert on space matters. As scientific secretary, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), he was responsible for a combination of scientific, technical, administrative, planning, policy and international cooperation matters from 1976 to 1988. Since then, he has held various other positions of responsibility related to science and technology, and academia. He was vice-chancellor, Punjab Technology University from 2002-04. Rajan has written on a variety of subjects, including science, technology, business, youth, leadership, social and ethical issues, and several poetry books in Tamil and English. He co-wrote the books India 2020 and The Scientific Indian with A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Rajan is currently Dr Vikram Sarabhai Distinguished Professor at ISRO Headquarters in Bangalore.

Sudarshan; V.

V. Sudarshan has been writing on foreign policy and diplomacy for a number of years, first as Foreign Editor of The Pioneer and subsequently for Outlook. His first book of short stories-A Sense of Ending-was published in 1988. He is now associate editor, the New Indian Express, and lives in Chennai with his wife and daughter.

Chandra Vikram

Vikram Chandra was born in 1961. He divides his time between Mumbai and Washington, DC, where he teaches at George Washington University. He is the author of a novel Red Earth and Pouring Rain which won the David Higham Prize as well as the Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best First Published Book. Amit Chatterjee

Amit is the Managing Director of the Sartorius India group of companies since 2002. He has been with the company since 1993. Sartorius AG (www.sartorius.com), is a 140-year- old German technology major listed on the German and French stock exchanges. A post graduate in Chemistry, Amit has a diploma in Practising Management (IMPM; www.impm.org) from INSEAD, France and a Master of Management from McGill University, Canada. His professional repertoire includes 15 years in Sales and Marketing and 17 years in Strategic Management.

Amit is a certified Leadership Trainer for international managers for the Sartorius Group worldwide. His passion lies in people development, organization design, growth management, and inter-cultural cooperation between Indo- European groups. Amit has been a guest faculty at AIT Business School, Bangkok and at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, where he taught a 3-Credit course on Leadership & Change Management. He does workshops on invitation on associated topics for senior management and leadership of various organizations. He devotes at least four days a month as a Growth Facilitator under the banner, Beyond Expectations mentoring young graduates, managers and organizations as an activity to top up his volitional energy (www.beyondex.in).

Amit loves to build new organizations and derives great satisfaction from instigating growth in individuals. He loves to interact with people from different backgrounds, beliefs and experiences as this adds to his knowledge and experience. Although, he has an academic background in science, he believes in philosophy, psychology and economics being the most important tenets to invest in, to become a successful human being. He relaxes most among books and makes it his business to discuss what he learns with his family, friends and associates.

Amit lives in Bangalore with his mother, wife and two children and strives to give back to the society what little he can in order to make his life more meaningful.

Kalpana Swaminathan

Kalpana Swaminathan lives in Mumbai, a few streets away from her detective Lalli. Since Cryptic Death (1997), Lalli has appeared in six novels, the most recent being Greenlight (2017). Her other novels include The Monochrome Madonna, Ambrosia for Afters and Venus Crossing, which won the Crossword Fiction Award in 2009.
Kalpana also writes with Ishrat Syed as Kalpish Ratna. Their most recent work of non-fiction is The Secret Life of Zika Virus (2017).
