Bhawana Pingali

Bhawana Pingali is a mother of a teen and has been a fashion writer and academic for over two decades. After a stint as fashion features editor with Femina (Times Group), she contributed independently to The Hindu, Mint Lounge, Time
Out, Lonely Planet, Travel + Leisure, Maxim, Orissa Post and Signature Oman, among others. She has taught at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (Mumbai), Pearl Academy, Symbiosis Institute of Design, CEPT University,
Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, British Council, and GD Goenka and Ansal universities.
Her heart now lies in teaching yoga pranayama, restoring old saris and old-world practices and rituals through the spiritual fashion-learning platform Revastra.

Amrita Mahale

AMRITA MAHALE was born in Mumbai and grew up in five cities across India. Milk Teeth, her first novel, was published to widespread acclaim in 2018 and was longlisted for the JCB Prize for Literature and shortlisted for the Crossword Book Award for Fiction. She was trained as an aerospace engineer at IIT Bombay and Stanford University.

Farrukh Dhondy

Farrukh Dhondy is a highly acclaimed British-Indian author, dramatist and screenwriter. His books include Prophet of Love, Rumi: A New Collection and an autobiography entitled Fragments against My Ruin: A Life. He is a recipient of numerous prizes, including the prestigious Whitbread Book Award for his novel Bombay Duck. He lives in London, England.

Graeme Base

Graeme Base is one of the world’s leading creators of picture books. His alphabet book, Animalia, received international acclaim when it was first published in 1986 and has sold more than two million copies. Graeme lives in Melbourne, Australia.

Hilal Çorbacioglu

Hilal Çorbacioglu was born in July 1983 and discovered her love for words early, first through her father’s typewriter and later in his vast library. Winning poetry and composition awards in school fueled her passion for writing, leading to her first published poetry book in high school. She studied Theology and Sociology, later earning a master’s in Clinical Psychology, and worked as a psychological counselor in schools. Trained in play therapy, fairy tale therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, she supports children and families through counseling, seminars, and storytelling. As a children’s author and educator, she continues to inspire young minds, believing in the healing power of words.

Sevde Tuba Okcu

Sevde Tuba Okçu, who is from Istanbul, studied literature and then completed her master’s degree in the Gender and Cultural Studies department in the USA. The author, who was interested in children’s literature and human rights education during her time in the USA, completed her second master’s degree in Peace Education in Costa Rica.
