Vikram Sampath

VIKRAM SAMPATH, a Bangalore-based historian, is the author of ten acclaimed books, including: Splendours of Royal Mysore: The Untold Story of the Wodeyars. His two-volume biography, Savarkar: Echoes from a Forgotten Past and Savarkar: A Contested Legacy, and his latest books, Bravehearts of Bharat: Vignettes from Indian History and Waiting for Shiva: Unearthing the Truth of Kashi’s Gyan Vapi, have all gone on to become national bestsellers. In 2021, Vikram was elected a fellow of the prestigious Royal Historical Society. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi’s first Yuva Puraskar in English literature and the ARSC International Award for excellence in historical research in New York for his book My Name Is Gauhar Jaan: The Life and Times of a Musician. Vikram was among four writers and artists selected as writers-in-residence at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in 2015.
He has a doctorate in history and music from the University of Queensland, Australia, and was a senior research fellow at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library, New Delhi. He was also a fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, an Eisenhower Global Fellow and a visiting fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. Currently, he is an adjunct senior fellow at Monash University, Australia. Vikram is the founder of the Archive of Indian Music (AIM) and the Foundation for Indian Historical and Cultural Research (FIHCR).

Jigna Vora

Jigna Vora is a crime reporter who has worked at the Free Press Journal, Mid-day, Mumbai Mirror and the Asian Age. Jigna also practices healing, Tarot card reading and astrology. She is currently researching for and writing web series and movies.

Swami Ramdev

Swami Ramdev is a yoga guru known for his work in Ayurveda, business, politics and agriculture. Ramdev founded the Divya Yog Mandir Trust in 1995. In 2003, Aastha TV began featuring him in its morning yoga slot. A large number of people, celebrities from India and abroad included, attend his yoga camps. Patanjali Ayurved is a consumer packaged goods company, based in Haridwar, which was started by Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna in 2006.

Harini Nagendra

Harini Nagendra is professor of sustainability at Azim Premji University, India. She has conducted research on the interaction between people and nature in forests and cities, for over twenty-five years. She writes widely for newspapers, magazines and blogs. Her previous books include Nature in the City: Bengaluru in the Past, Present, and Future and Reforesting Landscapes: Linking Pattern and Process.

Seema Mundoli is a senior lecturer at Azim Premji University, India. She has worked with NGOs involved in conservation, mining, land and forest rights, and education in indigenous communities. Her recent work examines the relationship between people and nature in cities. In addition to research papers and popular articles, she has co-edited State of the Environment 2005: Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Seema Mundoli is a senior lecturer at Azim Premji University, India. She has worked with NGOs involved in conservation, advocacy on mining, land and forest rights, and education in indigenous communities. Her recent work examines the relationship between people and nature in cities. In addition to research papers and popular articles she has co-edited State of the Environment, Andaman Archipelago.

Anar Ali

ANAR ALI’s short story collection, Baby Khaki’s Wings, was a finalist for the Commonwealth Writer’s Prize, the Trillium Book Award, and the Danuta Gleed Literary Prize. She is a screenwriter and works in film and television, most recently, for a new medical drama from CTV/NBCUniversal. Ali lives in Toronto.

Parikshat Sahni

Parikshat Sahni, son of Balraj Sahni, is a well-known Indian actor, writer and producer who has acted in Lage Raho Munna Bhai, PK and 3 Idiots. After finishing high school at the Lawrence School Sanawar, he graduated in English Honours from St Stephens College, Delhi. He then studied film direction and acting at the Moscow Film Institute (VGIK).
He lives in Mumbai and likes to paint in his free time.
