Vazira Fazila-Yacoobali Zamindar is twentieth-century historian at Brown University and is most well known for The Long Partition and the Making of Modern South Asia. During long walks with Sarnath Banerjee during the pandemic, the idea for this graphic novel was seeded, and drawing on research material from her forthcoming book, Anticolonial Practice and the Image Archive, the stories for this collaborative project took shape as part of her experiments in the art of repair.
