दुर्गेश नन्दिनी बंकिमचन्द्र चट्टोपाध्याय द्वारा रचित प्रथम बांग्ला उपन्यास है। सन 1865 के मार्च मास में यह उपन्यास प्रकाशित हुआ। दुर्गेश नन्दिनी बंकिमचन्द्र की चौबीस से लेकर 26 वर्ष के आयु में लिखित उपन्यास है। इस उपन्यास के प्रकाशित होने के बाद बांग्ला कथासाहित्य की धारा एक नए युग में प्रवेश कर गई। 16वीं शताब्दी के उड़ीसा को केंद्र में रखकर मुगलों और पठानों के आपसी संघर्ष की पृष्ठभूमि में यह उपन्यास रचित है। फिर भी इसे संपूर्ण रूप से एक ऐतिहासिक उपन्यास नहीं माना जाता, क्योंकिे इसमें काल्पनिकता का पुट है।
Gaddar/गद्दार
गद्दार की कथा कृश्न चन्दर के अनुभव की कथा है—तपे हुए, देखे हुए अनुभव की। देश के विभाजन की त्रासदी की इस निराली और एक साँस में पढ़ी जानेवाली कृति को पढ़ना एक अनूठा, दुर्लभ अनुभव ही नहीं वरन् एक ऐसे चिंतन का मूल है, जो देश-विभाजन की त्रासदी पर नए तरह से सोचने को विवश करती है और उस त्रासदी से उपजे ज्वलंत और अनसुलझे प्रश्नों से पाठक को बार-बार जूझने को विवश करती है।
फूलों की रंगो-बू से सराबोर रचना से अगर आँच भी आ रही हो तो मान लेना चाहिए कि कृश्न चन्दर वहीं पूरी तरह मौजूद हैं। यही इनकी कलम की ख़ास पहचान है यानी रोमानी तेवर में खालिस इंकलाबी बात। उनकी तमाम रचनाओं में जैसे एक अर्थपूर्ण व्यंग्य, दर्द और कराह छुपी हुई है, जो हमें अद्भुत रूप से अपनी दुर्बलता के ख़िलाफ़ खड़ा करने में समर्थ है। कारण, रचनात्मकता के साथ चलनेवाला जीवन-संघर्ष जिसे उन्होंने लहू की आग में तपाया है। वस्तुतः कृश्न चन्दर की रचनाएँ हमारे समय की गहन मानवीय, सामाजिक और सियासी सच्चाइयों की पर्याया्लय हैं। वे हर पल असलियत के साथ हैं। कहना न होगा कि इस कलम के जादूगर कृश्न चन्दर की तमाम रचनाओं को बड़े चाव के साथ पढ़ा और सहेजा जाएगा। मानवीय, सामाजिक और सियासी अंतर्द्वंद्वों की अनमोल और संग्रहणीय कृति।

यह उपन्यास एक रोचक कथा के साथ-साथ एक ओर जहाँ भारतीय संस्कृति, परंपरा के गौरवमयी अतीत से परिचित कराता है, तो वहीं इसमें राजनीति के विसंगतिपूर्ण निर्णयों से भविष्य की सावधानी का संकेत भी मिलता है। एक बार में कहें तो जागृति गुरुदत्त का श्रेष्ठ उपन्यास है जिसमें दो जाट-परिवारों के संघर्ष और उसके परिणामस्वरूप स्त्रियों की करुण दशा का मार्मिक चित्रण हुआ है। गुरुदत्त के पाठक इस उपन्यास को एक बार पढ़ने के बाद कभी भूल नहीं पाएँगे।

कलामे रूमी को फारसी भाषा से सीधा अनुवाद किया गया है।
अभय तिवारी ने रूमी नाम से फ़ारसी साहित्य के विद्वान सूफ़ी विचारक और संत मौलाना मुहम्मद जलालुद्दीन रूमी की प्रसिद्ध पुस्तक “मसनवी” का हिंदी अनुवाद किया है। मसनवी फ़ारसी साहित्य की अद्वितीय कृति है। इसमें संस्मरणों और रूपकों के ज़रिए ईश्वर और आस्था के मसलों पर विवेचन किया गया है। रूमी सिर्फ़ कवि नहीं है, वे सूफ़ी हैं, वे आशिक़ हैं, वे ज्ञानी हैं, विद्वान हैं और सबसे बढ़कर वे एक गुरु हैं। उनमें एक तरफ़ तो उस माशूक़ के हुस्न का नशा है, विसाल की आरज़ू व जुदाई का दर्द है, और दूसरी तरफ़ नैतिक और आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान की गहराईयों से निकाले हुए अनमोल मोती हैं। इसीलिए रूमी का साहित्य सारे संसार को सम्मोहित किए हुए है।
