Playful principles of conscious living revealed by former monk Nithya Shanti in his debut book

Contemporary spiritual guide Nithya Shanti’s debut book titled Call Your Own Bluff is about awakening wisdom by questioning habitual thought patterns, and introduces elegant practices which can be seamlessly integrated into daily life. It will be published by Penguin Random House India in October 2021.

Nithya Shanti left a promising career in the corporate world to live as a forest meditation monk for many years. Since 2008 he has been sharing principles and practices for conscious living with audiences worldwide. With this book, Nithya Shanti and co-author, Nandini Sen Mehra present profound, yet accessible pointers for spiritual awareness and blossoming. This process begins with unravelling and letting go of our many assumptions and identities, essentially returning the reader to a ‘zero state’. It culminates in a beautifully integrated way of life informed by inner guidance.

Commenting on the book, Nithya Shanti says, ‘Call Your Own Bluff is an invitation to embark on a great adventure – a journey that takes us to the deepest corners of our self, illuminates our distortions, and reveals the beautiful authenticity and innate power of who we really are. This book is intended to be like a treasured friend and guide for years to come.’

Co-author Nandini Sen Mehra says, ‘This book offers Nithya Shanti’s gentle and powerful teachings, a distillation of both ancient and modern wisdom, and for me, a personal exploration of self and meaning.
