Sales soar to new heights with 200 million copies sold worldwide
LONDON, 27th March 2017 – More than twenty international publishers will once again simultaneously publish and release Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Book 13, an all-new original story by bestselling author Jeff Kinney. The book will go on sale in the United Kingdom and for publishing houses around the world including United States, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, Turkey, Greece, Taiwan, Poland, Japan, Brazil, Spain, Catalonia, Portugal, Hungary, Romania, Sweden, Lativa, Norway, Israel, Korea, and the Czech Republic on 30th October 2018.
Puffin also announce today that the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series has sold over 200 million copies worldwide. The Wimpy Kid books are published in 65 editions in 56 languages in over 140 countries, which means that the books are now read in over two-thirds of the world’s countries.
Book 13 follows the enormous international acclaim of Book 12, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Getaway, which debuted at the top of bestseller lists around the world. The title and cover for the new book will be revealed on 1st May as part of a high-profile promotional campaign leading up to publication.
