Nandini Nayar

As a child, Nandini Nayar dreamt of writing stories. When her first book was published, she knew this was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Since then, she has written over 300 stories and fifty children's books (and counting). Her short stories have appeared in magazines like Tinkle, Dimdima and the children's sections of newspapers like The Hindu, Sakal Times and the Hitavada, besides being published in several anthologies. Upamanyu Bhattacharyya is an animation film-maker and illustrator based in Kolkata. A graduate of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, he co-directed the award-winning animated short film Wade.
